Judaic Curriculum:

In Cheder Chabad Girls Elementary, students are taught the fundamentals of Yiddishkeit. From Kriah to Chumash, Navi, Halacha, Yahadus and more, students receive a foundation that they will continue to build on as they get older. The academic curriculum is enhanced with the appreciation and pride of being a Yid and Chossid through activities, programs, stories and real-life examples.

A well rounded Bnos Chabad program completes the education of a Cheder girl, where she explores concepts in Chassidus through special programs, hachana classes, and creates a connection with her heritage. Students in grades 1-6 are also part of the world wide Tzivos Hashem program, training and learning how to be a soldier in the army of Hashem. As girls setting out on their teenage years, middle school students enjoy a wide array of speakers, workshops and programs geared to their needs.

Academic and social/emotional growth is cultivated by our team of teachers, resource room staff, social workers and curriculum coordinator. When needed, students will receive the support needed to continue growing and becoming the best version of themselves.

Secular Studies Curriculum:

Goal of general studies at Cheder is to give children basic standardized educational goals, while keeping it as Chassidish and wholesome as possible.

Girls have three periods of secular studies. They focus on math and English. Additionally, girls in grades 3 to 8 have one period of  either science or social studies.

Kindergan starts learning the ABCs after January while phonemic awareness, prewriting skills are and numbers are learned the beginning of the year.

Kindergan through 5th grade uses Handwriting Without Tears to learn print and cursive.

Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade also use My Views from Savvas Learning to teach other foundational skills in literacy. Third grade through 8th grade uses Mosdos Press books as well as selected novels to study literature.  Grammer and spelling are taught using different materials.

For math, all grades use Jump Math which is a standardized, spiraling curriculum.
