Assistant to the Facilities Director

Position Summary:
The Assistant to the Facilities Director supports the Director in overseeing the maintenance, operations, and safety of all school facilities. This role ensures a clean, safe, and functional environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position may be full-time or part-time, with a salary of up to $50,000 depending on experience and schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing daily facility operations, including building maintenance, custodial services, groundskeeping, and on-site IT infrastructure support.
  • Conduct routine inspections of school buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify and address repair or maintenance needs.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues, coordinating timely resolutions.
  • Assist in developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs to extend the life of facilities and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
  • Ensure proper storage, organization, and availability of materials to support efficient operations.
  • Provide facilities-related support for school events, including occasional after-hours assistance.
  • Perform physical tasks as required, including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in both indoor and outdoor conditions.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Report directly to the Director of Facilities on operational status, maintenance concerns, and completed work.

Meal Program Operation

Position Summary:
The Meal Program Operation staff member supports the school’s Meal Program by overseeing the daily arrival, distribution, and service of hot lunches, as well as the preparation of snacks and breakfast. The role also includes administrative and compliance tasks. This is a part-time position (5–6 hours daily) with starting pay at $17 per hour depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify that all food deliveries arrive in full and in good condition.
  • Document meal quantities, temperatures and other paperwork as required.
  • Serve snacks and prepare snack and breakfast bins for distribution.
  • Prepare and serve meal accommodations (e.g., gluten-free meals).
  • Unload, store, and rotate stock following food safety guidelines.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of snack room contents.
  • Complete all required documentation related to food service, temperatures, and inventory.
  • Organize documentation for audits and mark POS for departments as needed.
