In front of the iconic redbrick facade of Chabad-Lubavitch Headquarters at 770 Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn, N.Y., thousands of Chabad-Lubavitch rabbis from around the world posed together for their annual “class photo” on Sunday morning.

The emissaries are part of a global network of 6,233 Chabad couples representing Jewish communities from every U.S. state and more than 100 countries, sent by the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory. They are in New York for the 42nd International Conference of Chabad-Lubavitch Emissaries, an annual tradition that began in 1987.

The annual conference, which runs from Nov. 12 through Nov. 17, features workshops, inspirational talks, Shabbat experiences and a visit to the Ohel, the resting place of the Rebbe. The conference highlight is a gala banquet (streamed live here) on Sunday afternoon.
