Thousands of female Jewish leaders from around the world gathered in Brooklyn, N.Y., this morning for their annual “class picture”, a highlight of the annual International Conference of Chabad-Lubavitch Women Emissaries (Kinus Hashluchot). The conference is taking place ahead of the 38th anniversary of the passing of Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Schneerson, of righteous memory, on 22 Shevat (Monday, Feb. 9).

The climax of the four-day conference will take place on Monday, when all the attendees will visit the Ohel, the resting place of the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory, and his wife, Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka, on the anniversary of her passing. The women bring prayer petitions with them from their far-flung communities to leave at the resting place.

The conference will be capped with a grand gala banquet on Sunday, where thousands of people are expected to attend in person. Countless more around the world will join the celebration by watching the event live at: Chabad.org/Kinus.
